Because I need to open a door!

I have this website called Pop-Culture Spectrum.

I just actually finally added a new article to it after many months. It is an interview with independent comic artists Dean Haspiel & Josh Neufeld. I have been friends and fans of Dean & Josh for a long time.

Dean is a cocky bastid and Josh is a sweet and caring man. Maybe it is because Josh has had a sucessful loving relationship for years and Dean continually gets his heart broken. They used to do this comic Keyhole. Josh would have a story and Dean would have a story. The stories usually had nothing to do with each other. They were just in the same book. Both guys had totally different approaches and styles to comics and story telling. Yet, they both draw stuff for Harvey Pekar. Harvey Pekar is a nutjob though. A sweet, gentle, wonderul writer, but a nut job. He makes his scripts by wtiting them in hand with no concept of panels or sometimes he'll even just phone them. This is true, not a lie.

American Splendor is the heartwarming tale of a man who isn't sane. Who is though? What is this thing we call sanity? Are Wall Street Brokers sane? Suredly not. Hollywood actors? Absolutely not. The President of the United States? Well, I just think he's too stupid for us to determine his sanity.

Another heartwarming tale of a man who lost his mind is Helter Skelter. Okay it's not heartwarming. Charles Manson was a man with tons of talent though. He wrote some amazing folk music. He's as good or better than Bob Dylan or Woody Guthrie. Oh sure, he's without a doubt an absolute nutcase, but man can he sing and play guitar.

Blogging is like Livejournaling, only different. I see that for reason it allows the freedom to truly just free form the writing and let whatever comes out be what hits the page with no worries about what it is your writing down.

It also seems hard to stop, but I'll end it like this... STOP...collaborate and listen...
